Kabete Cares is a social organization founded by George Kinuthia Wachira  in 2005, with the aim of addressing issues affecting community children and adolescents such as drug abuse: early school drop-out : delinquent behavior and lack of social support which he believed could be stemmed down through constructive engagement such as sports and art .

The organization is built on Christian values but welcomes children from all backgrounds who need social support, mentorship or a platform to express their gifts.

To avail a level playing ground for every youth and child.

To help youth and children develop a sense of belonging using sports, art and education as tools for social and economic transformation.

George Kinuthia Wachira
Founder /Chairman Sports Coach & CEO Runners Paradise Expeditions & Safaris

George who has studied management, accounts, fitness and nutrition besides attending several coaching courses has a wide experience in sports tourism, sports coaching and management. He has been behind the formation of various sports clubs under Kabete Cares umbrella. He also coaches children and youth football, athletics and baseball team which has seen the young players excel to earn opportunities at different levels. He is also the President of Baseball 4 Africa an organization the promotes baseball and is a an executive committee member of Athletics Kenya federation Kiambu County. He is volunteer for Kigali International Peace Marathon 2009-2013 and was awarded by the Governor of Kiambu County when Kenya celebrated 50 years of independence.

Moses Kwereba
Communication Secretary

Moses is a vet by profession and an accredited chess national coach, who was formerly National Chess Federation Treasurer who led Kenya National Youth Teams to the World and Africa Championships in South Africa and Zambia.

Tyson Wachira
Program Manager /Baseball Coach

Tyson is a holder of Bachelors Degree in Nutrition and Dietetics. Besides coaching at Kabete Cares, he was the national baseball team assistant coach for 2020 Olympic Qualifiers and Confederation Of East Africa Baseball Championship held in Mwanza Tanzania in 2017.

John Mbugua
Soccer Coach

John is a youthful soccer assistant coach for under 14 and 17 boys teams is a beneficiary of the program . His dream is to coach a premier league club in future.

James Chege
Liaison Office

James has been our liaison person in the partnership with Melsksham FC UK, which has been providing our football teams with playing kits. He and Ken are also the brains behind ‘ Kabete Diaspora Cup Tournament the seeks to nurture and expose talented players.

Jim Tamarack
Partner - Savannah Georgia

Jim has been instrumental to the growth of Baseball in Kenya having started Baseball 4 Africa our partner project with 14 school in Makueni in 2004. This has been the most outstanding program in the country and a good number of the players he started with are currently in the national team. Over the years Baseball 4 Africa has become a key supplier of baseball equipment to most centers in the country

Susan Mbuthia
Treasurer/Project Adviser

Susan is an accomplished scholar who is a PHD finalist and a youth mentor. She is also renowned for her philanthropic activities and support for boys and girls aimed at stemming the rate of drop outs.
